Phoenix Comic Fest Director of Programming Receives The Bill Shover Leadership Award
Joe Boudrie with Bill Shover, his wife Murny Shover, and Michelle Dubow, who acted as on-site coordinator for United Blood Services for several years.
Square Egg Entertainment, Inc.’s Director of Programming, Joe Boudrie, was awarded The Bill Shover Leadership Award by United Blood Services. The award was created to honor individuals for their outstanding service to United Blood Services (UBS).
Joe Boudrie received this award at United Blood Services’ annual gala luncheon for his years of dedication to host one of Arizona’s largest annual blood drives, held at Phoenix Comic Fest.
Joe had a vision to one day host one of the largest annual blood drives in Arizona. With the full support of his staff, and with encouragement from founder Matt Solberg, Joe offered indoor space to United Blood Services to host an annual 4-day blood drive.
In the last three years of this blood drive at Phoenix Comic Fest, UBS has collected more than 1,946 blood donations. In addition, Joe also offered outdoor space for UBS to display and promote their annual Volkswagen raffle and, in 2017, Joe provided UBS with 6,000 free admissions to help boost high school and college blood drives.
